ABOUT

Prof. Elka Todorova , Ph.D. is a researcher in the fields of sociology, social psychology and social work, working at the University of National and World Economy as a Full Professor . She is the author of 8 books and over 45 articles, studies and research reports.

In 2001 she completed the Mid-Career Second Degree Master of Public Administration at Harvard's Kennedy School of Government, which she attended as both a Kokkalis Fellow and an Edward S. Mason Fellow . She is also the recipient of a Fulbright Program fellowship.

Currently she is Professor in Sociology at the University of National and World Economy and Director of the Master's Program "European Social Policy and Social Work" as well as visiting professor at both City University, Pravetz and New Bulgarian University, Sofia.

Among her professional memberships, she is Vice President of the Consultative Board for the Union for Private Economic Enterprise, Director of its Center for vocational training, and member of the Supervisory Board of the Bulgarian National Social Security Institute.
